Music Mood
Describe how AI music should feel: one energy level, up to 3 emotions and up to 3 vibes, such as Driving, Triumphant and Cinematic. Works with Suno and more.
The Music Mood picker describes how a piece of music should feel. You combine an energy level with up to three emotions and up to three vibes, such as Driving energy, a Triumphant emotion and a Cinematic vibe. Nodaro adds the matching words to the style or prompt of the music node you connect it to. The picker never calls a model, so it costs no credits.
When to use it
- Set the energy of a track, from Low and Mellow to Explosive and Ferocious.
- Give a soundtrack an emotion that matches the scene, such as Hopeful, Haunting or Bittersweet.
- Add a production feel with a vibe, such as Lo-fi, Dreamy, Noir or Anthemic.
- Keep the same feel across several music nodes in one workflow.
How to use it
Add the picker
Open the node picker on the Audio tab and choose Creative Controls › Music & Voice › Music Mood.
Choose the energy, emotions and vibes
Click the node. Pick one Energy, up to 3 Emotion choices and up to 3 Vibe choices. Every part is optional.
Connect it
Drag from the picker's output to the Audio style input of Suno Create Music, Generate Music or Text to Audio.
Run the music node
The mood is added to the music node's request when it runs.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Energy | One energy level, such as Low, Mellow, Upbeat, Driving, High or Explosive. |
| Emotion | Up to 3 emotions, such as Joyful, Melancholic, Triumphant, Tender or Mysterious. |
| Vibe | Up to 3 vibes, such as Cinematic, Intimate, Dreamy, Gritty or Futuristic. |
| Custom text (before) | Your own words, added before the mood, for example start mellow. |
| Custom text (after) | Your own words, added after the mood, for example building to a triumphant finish. |
| Prompt hint | Full (default) adds the longer description. Compact adds only the short terms. See Full or Compact. |
A new node starts empty and adds nothing until you pick. The words are built in a fixed order: the energy, then the emotions, then the vibes. Several picks in one part are joined with commas.
To see the exact words the picker will add, switch the node to the Prompt or Both display mode. The settings panel shows the same text under Will inject into prompt.
Where the mood goes
| Connected node | What happens to the mood |
|---|---|
| Suno Create Music | Added to the Style field when the node is in custom mode, and to the Prompt otherwise |
| Generate Music | Added to the prompt, and used as the node's Mood when its own Mood setting is empty |
| Text to Audio | Added to the prompt |
| Voice Design | Ignored. The node shows a warning. |
You can also connect the picker to a Text or Combine Text node to use the words in a longer text.
Every energy, emotion and vibe
Filter by Energy, Emotion or Vibe, or search by name. The words under each name are the term the picker adds in Compact mode.

Tips
- Match the picture. Choose the feel of the scene the music plays under, for example a Tense vibe for a chase or a Tender emotion for a reunion.
- Pair it with a genre. A mood reads best with a Music Genre, and with Instrumentation for the sound.
- Describe a change. Use Custom text (after) for a mood that develops, such as
building to a triumphant finish.
