Upload Video

The Upload Video node brings your own video file into a workflow. Upload a file or paste a direct URL to a video, and the node makes it available to every node you connect it to, for example to edit it, analyze it or use its motion.

When to use it

• You have a clip on your computer and want to process it: trim it, resize it, caption it or combine it with other clips.
• You want to restyle or edit your footage with Video to Video.
• You need a motion reference for Motion Transfer, or a source video for Lip Sync or Face Swap.
• You want to continue a clip or use it as a reference in Generate Video.

Quick start

Adjust Video

Choosing a file opens the Adjust Video step before the file is uploaded:

• Crop the frame with an aspect-ratio preset.
• Trim the clip to a range with the filmstrip scrubber.
• Convert the file to MP4 or WebM under Advanced.

A format the browser cannot play is converted automatically first.

Inputs and output

The node has one input, URL. Connect a text node that holds a direct link to a video file, and the node uses that link.

The output, Video, is the URL of the uploaded clip. It can feed any number of nodes at once.

The node accepts MP4, MOV and WebM files. It does not run a model and costs no credits.

Tips

• Prefer MP4 with H.264. It works with the most nodes.
• Keep files under 100 MB. Smaller files process more reliably.
• Use Video URL for social links. For a video on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or X, use Video URL, which downloads it from the page link.
• Trim before you spend. If you need only part of a clip, trim it in Adjust Video or with Trim Video, so later nodes process less.
