Accessibility

Open the Nodaro accessibility menu with its round button or Alt+A to change text size, contrast, link and heading highlights, spacing, the cursor and motion.

Available on Nodaro Cloud

The accessibility menu changes how Nodaro Cloud pages look for you. Open it with the round button in the bottom corner of any page, or press Alt+A. Your choices apply right away and are kept in your browser.

What the menu changes

ChoiceWhat it does
Text sizeSets the text to 100%, 115% or 130%.
Higher contrastGives secondary text and borders the full text color.
Inverted coloursSwaps light and dark. Photos, videos and color swatches keep their own colors.
Strong contrastShows yellow text on black, with cyan links and black buttons on yellow.
Highlight linksHighlights the links on the page.
Highlight headingsHighlights the headings on the page.
Readable fontShows the text in a more readable font. Code keeps its own font.
Text spacingAdds more spacing to the text.
Large cursorShows a large cursor. A button you cannot use keeps its "not allowed" cursor.
Reduce motionMakes animations finish at once.

Only one of the three contrast choices is on at a time. Turning one on turns the other two off.

Reset returns every choice to its default. Nodaro also follows the "reduce motion" setting of your operating system, with or without the menu.

Open the menu

  • The button. Click the round button in the bottom corner of the page.
  • The keyboard. Press Alt+A anywhere. The shortcut does nothing while you type in a field.
  • In the workflow editor. The canvas uses the corners of the screen, so the button is not shown there. Press Alt+A to open the menu. The canvas keeps its own text size.

Hide the button

In the menu, choose Hide the button for: and then 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. Alt+A still opens the menu while the button is hidden. The menu shows the date the button comes back, and Show it again brings it back earlier.

Where your choices are saved

Your choices are kept in the browser you use, not in your account. Another browser or another device starts with the default settings.

The accessibility statement

The menu links to Nodaro's Accessibility statement. The statement explains how to report an accessibility problem.

Self-hosted installs

A self-hosted install has its own operator and no Nodaro statement. The accessibility menu and the statement are not shown there. A white-label deployment of Nodaro Cloud does not show them either. See Editions.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open the accessibility menu?

Click the round accessibility button in the bottom corner of the page, or press Alt+A anywhere in Nodaro Cloud. Alt+A does nothing while you type in a field.

Why is there no accessibility button in the workflow editor?

The canvas uses the corners of the screen, so the button is not shown there, and the canvas keeps its own text size. Press Alt+A to open the menu in the editor.

Can I hide the accessibility button?

Yes. In the menu, choose to hide the button for 1, 3 or 6 months. Alt+A still opens the menu, and the menu can show the button again before that date.

Are my accessibility choices saved to my account?

No. Your choices are kept in the browser you use. Another browser or another device starts with the default settings.
