Regenerate a 6 to 60 second section of a Suno song with new lyrics and style tags, such as a weak verse or chorus, and keep the rest of the track intact.
The Suno Replace Section node regenerates one part of a Suno song, such as a weak verse, and keeps the rest of the track. You choose the time range, write the new lyrics or content, and add style tags. Suno then fits the new section into the song, so you do not have to generate the whole song again.
When to use it
- One verse or chorus is weak in an otherwise good song.
- You want to change the mood or the style of one section.
- You want new lyrics in one section and the rest unchanged.
- You want to try different bridges or transitions between sections.
Quick start
Add the node
Press Tab on the canvas, or open the node picker in the sidebar, and choose Audio › Music › Suno Replace Section.
Connect the song
Connect a Suno Create Music node to the Audio input. The Task ID and Audio ID come from that node when the workflow runs.
Choose the section
Set Start Time (seconds) and End Time (seconds), for example 45 and 75. The section must be 6 to 60 seconds long.
Write the replacement
Write the new lyrics or content in Prompt, and style tags in Tags, for example pop, anthemic, female vocal.
Run it
Click Run. The song with the new section appears on the node.

| Prompt | The new lyrics or content for the section, up to 5,000 characters. A longer text is shortened to fit. The prompt is required. |
| Tags (optional) | Style and genre tags for the new section, up to 500 characters. |
| Title (optional) | A title for the result, up to 80 characters. |
| Full Lyrics (post-edit) | The complete lyrics of the whole song after the replacement: the changed and the unchanged parts together. Suno uses them as the lyric sheet of the finished song. |
| Negative Tags (optional) | Styles to exclude from the new section, for example rock. Up to 500 characters. |
| Pre & post text | Text that is always added before and after the prompt. It is hidden from people who use your workflow as an app. See Prompt pre and post text. |
Choose the section
The replaced section is the time between Start Time and End Time.
- Length. The section must be between 6 and 60 seconds long.
- Share of the song. The section can be at most half of the song.
- Position. The section can sit anywhere in the track. From 100 to 130 seconds is a valid section.
Listen to the song carefully before you set the times, and note where the part you want to change begins and ends.
Tips
- Always fill in Tags. Use at least basic genre tags. A descriptive prompt together with relevant tags gives the best replacement.
- Give Suno the full lyrics. With Full Lyrics (post-edit), the new section fits the words of the whole song.
- Work section by section. Refine one part at a time instead of generating the whole song again. At 20 credits, a replacement costs less than a new song.
- Try alternatives. Replace the same section with different prompts to compare bridges or transitions.
