Put a note anywhere on the canvas to label a section, explain a step or leave instructions. Sticky notes have no inputs or outputs and never affect a run.
The Sticky Note node is a note you place anywhere on the canvas. It has a title and a body. It never takes part in a run: it has no inputs or outputs, costs nothing and cannot cause an error. Use sticky notes to label sections, explain decisions, or leave instructions for the people who edit the workflow after you.
When to use it
- Label the main sections of a large workflow, such as "Image generation", "Audio" and "Output".
- Explain why a node is configured the way it is.
- Leave instructions for teammates who will edit the workflow later.
- Mark known issues or next steps inside the workflow.
Quick start
Add the node
Press Tab on the canvas and choose Automate › Canvas › Sticky Note.
Write the note
Click into the note and type. The title reads "Note" until you change it, and the body starts empty. While a note has a title, the title replaces the small label above the note.
Style it
Select the note, or point at it, to show its toolbar. Choose a color, a text size, bold or italic, and the alignment.
Size it
Select the note and drag its edges or corners. A new note is 320 × 200 pixels, and the smallest size is 160 × 110 pixels.
The toolbar

| Colors | Seven swatches: Slate, Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, Cyan and Paper, plus Custom colour for any color. Paper, the default, is cream in light mode and a warm near-black in dark mode. The text color follows the note's color, dark on light notes and light on dark notes. |
| Size | Cycles through Paragraph (the default), Heading, Display and Small. |
| Bold and italic | Apply to the whole note. |
| Alignment | Left (the default), center or right. |
| Bullet list | Adds a dash to the start of every line, or removes it when every line already has one. |
| More options | The same menu as every other node, for example to duplicate or delete the note. |
The title is always one step larger than the body:

Credits
Sticky notes are free. They are saved with the workflow and never run.
Tips
- Size the note to its section. Place a note behind or beside the nodes it describes, large enough to show which nodes it covers. To make nodes move together, use a Group.
- Use sizes for structure. Heading or Display suits a section title, and Small suits a detailed remark.
- Keep notes short. A few clear lines are quicker to read than a long text.
