The Aspect Ratio node holds one frame shape, such as 16:9 or 9:16. It cannot be wired into image or video nodes, so set the ratio on each node.
The Aspect Ratio node holds one frame shape: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 or 4:5. It never runs a model and costs nothing.
It does not change a run
The canvas refuses a wire from Aspect Ratio to Generate Image or Generate Video, so the ratio it holds never reaches a run. Set Aspect Ratio in each image or video node's own settings.

Image and video nodes offer these shapes and often more, such as 21:9, 3:2 and 2:3, depending on the model. On Generate Video, Adaptive or Auto (from image) matches the shape of a connected start frame.
Tips
- Decide the platform first. Choose the ratio before you generate, instead of cropping later.
- Reformat a finished video. To turn a landscape video into a vertical one, use Social Media Format.
