# Suno Extend

> Continue a Suno song from the second you choose, with a new prompt and style. Add a bridge, an outro or a verse, or chain extensions into a long track.

The **Suno Extend** node continues a song made by a Suno node from a point you choose. You describe the new part, for example `build to an epic chorus` or `fade out with ambient pads`, and Suno writes the continuation. Use it to make a song longer, add a section, or build a long composition part by part.

## When to use it
- A generated song ended too soon.
- You want to add a bridge, an outro or another verse to a song.
- You want a composition in several parts. Chain [Suno Create Music](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/audio/suno-create-music) into several Suno Extend nodes.
- You need long ambient or background music. Extend the same track again and again.

## Quick start
### Add the node

Press Tab on the canvas, or open the node picker in the sidebar, and choose **Audio › Music › Suno Extend**.

### Connect the song

Connect a Suno node, such as Suno Create Music, to the **Audio** input. The settings panel shows the inherited Audio ID, so there is nothing to paste.

### Choose where the new part starts

Set **Continue From (seconds)**, for example `90`. Then describe the new part in **Extension Prompt** and add **Style** tags.

### Run it

Click **Run**. The extended song appears on the node.

Workflow: A song from Suno Create Music is extended twice: first with a bridge from 90 seconds, then with an outro.

## Settings
| Setting | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Audio ID (from Suno node)** | The track to continue. It is filled from the version selected on the connected node, and the panel shows the inherited ID under the field. Paste an ID only to continue a song from an earlier session. A connection always wins over a pasted ID. |
| **Continue From (seconds)** | The second where the new part starts. It must be greater than 0 and less than the length of the track. At 0 or empty, Suno extends the track with its own parameters and ignores **Style** and **Title**. |
| **Extension Prompt** | What the new part should sound like, up to 5,000 characters (3,000 on Suno V4). A longer text is shortened to fit. Type `[` or `/` for tag suggestions. |
| **Model** | The Suno version. The default is **Suno V6**. |
| **Title (optional)** | The title of the extended track, up to 80 characters. |
| **Style (optional)** | Genre and style tags for the new part. Up to 1,000 characters (200 on Suno V4). |
| **Use default parameters (uncheck to customize)** | Checked by default. Leave it as it is. |

## Which track it continues

Suno Create Music returns two versions of each song. Suno Extend continues the version that is selected on the Suno Create Music node. When you select the other version, Suno Extend follows it. To continue a song from an earlier session, copy its **Track** ID from the Suno Create Music node and paste it into **Audio ID**.

## Tips
- **Listen first.** Find the exact second where the new part should begin, and use it in **Continue From**.
- **Describe the new section.** For example `build to an epic chorus` or `fade out with ambient pads`.
- **Chain for long pieces.** Each Suno Extend node can feed the next one, so a composition grows section by section.
- **Keep the title short.** Titles have a limit of 80 characters.
- **Use the right node for other audio.** To continue audio that was not made by a Suno node, use [Suno Upload Extend](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/audio/suno-upload-extend).

## Troubleshooting
**The run stops with "no audio ID found".** Suno Extend needs a track made by a Suno node. Connect Suno Create Music or Suno Cover to the **Audio** input, or paste an Audio ID into the settings panel.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the difference between Suno Extend and Suno Upload Extend?

Suno Extend continues a song made by a Suno node, which it finds by its Audio ID. Suno Upload Extend continues any audio file, such as an upload, a voiceover or a track from another node.

### How do I choose where the extension starts?

Set Continue From to a second that is greater than 0 and less than the length of the track. At 0 or empty, Suno extends the track with its own parameters and ignores your Style and Title.

### How many credits does Suno Extend cost?

Each run costs 30 credits, on every Suno version.

### Can I make a very long song?

Yes. Chain several Suno Extend nodes, each one continuing the result of the node before it.
