# Suno Add Vocals

The **Suno Add Vocals** node adds a sung vocal to an instrumental track made by a Suno node. Suno writes the lyrics and the melody to fit the music, so the node needs no prompt. It is the counterpart of [Suno Add Instrumental](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/audio/suno-add-instrumental), which adds music to a vocal track.

## When to use it
- You made an instrumental with [Suno Create Music](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/audio/suno-create-music) and now want vocals on it.
- You want vocal versions of backing tracks or beats.
- You want to try new vocal performances on an existing instrumental arrangement.

## Quick start
### Add the node

Press Tab on the canvas, or open the node picker in the sidebar, and choose **Audio › Music › Suno Add Vocals**.

### Connect an instrumental

Connect a Suno node with an instrumental track, for example Suno Create Music with **Instrumental — no vocals**, to the **Audio** input.

### Run it

Choose a **Model** if you want another version than **Suno V6**, then click **Run**. The track with vocals appears on the node.

Workflow: Suno Create Music makes an instrumental, and Suno Add Vocals sings over it.

| **Model** | The Suno version: **Suno V6** (the default), **Suno V6 Wild**, **Suno V6 Mini**, **Suno V5.5**, **Suno V5** or **Suno V4.5 Plus**. Only these versions support adding vocals. |

- **Choose Suno V6 for natural vocals.** Suno V6 gives the most natural and expressive performances. Suno V6 Wild takes more creative liberties.
- **Start from a clear melody.** Suno follows the instrumental, so a clear melodic structure gives better vocals.
- **Build the song in two steps.** Create the instrumental first, then decide on the vocals.
- **Keep a lossless copy.** Send the result to [Suno Convert WAV](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/audio/suno-convert-wav) when you need a WAV file for mixing.

### Can I choose the lyrics that Suno Add Vocals sings?

No. Suno writes the lyrics and the melody from the instrumental. To have your own words sung, write them in the Lyrics field of Suno Create Music instead.

### Which Suno versions can add vocals?

Suno V6, Suno V6 Wild, Suno V6 Mini, Suno V5.5, Suno V5 and Suno V4.5 Plus. The other versions do not support this operation, so the node does not offer them.

### Can I add vocals to my own recording?

No. The track must come from a Suno node, such as Suno Create Music. For audio from other sources, consider Suno Upload Extend.
