# Publish to social media

> Connect your social accounts under Integrations and post images and videos straight from a workflow, with Publish to Social or a node for each platform.

Nodaro can post your images and videos to social networks straight from a workflow. You connect each account once under **Integrations**. Then you end a workflow with [Publish to Social](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/publish/publish-to-social), which posts to any connected account, or with the node for one platform. Each post costs 10 credits.

## Connect your accounts

### Open Integrations

Open **Integrations** in the **Account** section of the sidebar. The tabs show **All** networks, the ones already **Connected**, **Social** networks with a feed, and **Publishing** sites where you publish articles. Use the search box to find a network.

### Connect a network

Click the network and connect it:

- **Most networks** open their own sign-in window, where you approve access for Nodaro.
- **Facebook and Instagram:** when your login manages several Pages or accounts, a picker asks which one to connect.
- **Telegram:** paste the token of your Telegram bot.
- **Bluesky, Dev.to, Hashnode, Medium, WordPress and Lemmy:** fill in the fields the network needs, such as an API key or your site's address. Nodaro checks them before it saves the connection.

### Check the connection

The account appears on the **Connected** tab. You can disconnect it there at any time.

**Instagram needs a Business or Creator account.** Instagram does not accept publishing from personal accounts.

**On a self-hosted install**, every network appears on the page even when the install cannot offer it yet, with what it needs. The install's administrator adds that network's app credentials. See [Configuration](https://nodaro.ai/docs/self-hosting/configuration).

Publish to Social is the simplest choice: one node that covers every network. A network you connect later appears in its **Account** list with no change to the node.

## Post a video from a workflow

### Make the video

Build the video in the shape the platform expects, for example a vertical `9:16` clip from [Generate Video](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/video/generate-video) for Reels, TikTok or Shorts.

### Add Publish to Social

Open the node picker and choose **Publish › One-Click › Publish to Social**. Connect the video to it.

### Choose the account and the post type

Choose the **Account**. The node then shows that platform's options. A platform with several post types gets an **Action**, such as **Post Reel** on Instagram. Telegram gets a **Chat ID**, and YouTube a description.

### Write the caption

Type the **Caption**, or connect a text node to write it for you. Connected media goes into the post, and connected text becomes the caption.

### Run

Run the workflow. The post goes out when the node runs.

- **YouTube uploads are private by default.** Review the video on YouTube, then make it public. You can also set it to unlisted or public, and add tags.
- **X counts only the caption.** Media does not count toward the 280 characters.
- **Telegram needs a Chat ID**: a channel handle such as `@channelname`, a channel or group ID starting with `-100`, or a numeric chat ID.

## Publish on a schedule

To post every day or every week, start the workflow with a [Schedule Trigger](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/automate/schedule-trigger) and end it with a publishing node. Each scheduled run makes new content and posts it. ## When Instagram takes longer

Instagram processes media before it can be published, so the node waits for it. An image can take up to 90 seconds, and a video or Reel longer. A post in this stage is slow, not stuck. If the whole wait passes about 4 minutes, the run stops without posting anything, and you can safely run it again.

## When a post fails

The error message tells you which of two cases happened:

- **Nothing was posted.** It is safe to run the node again.
- **The outcome is unknown.** The post may already be live. Check the platform before you run again, or the post may appear twice.

## Other ways to send results

- [Save to Storage](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/publish/save-to-storage) keeps a result in your account with a file name, a format and a quality.
- [Webhook Output](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/publish/webhook-output) sends a result to another service, such as your own server or an automation tool.

From code, the REST API can publish a post right away or queue one for a set time. Connecting accounts happens in the app only.

### Which social networks can Nodaro post to?

Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Telegram, Bluesky, Reddit and more, plus sites where you publish articles, such as Dev.to, Hashnode, Medium, WordPress and Lemmy. The Integrations page lists every network.

### How much does it cost to publish a post?

Each post costs 10 credits, with Publish to Social or with a platform node. Credits are charged only when the node runs.

### Can I schedule posts?

Yes. Start the workflow with a Schedule Trigger, such as every weekday at 9:00, and end it with a publishing node. Each scheduled run makes the content and posts it.

### Can I connect a personal Instagram account?

No. Instagram accepts publishing only from Business and Creator accounts. Switch your account to one of these types in Instagram, then connect it under Integrations.

### What should I do when a post fails?

Read the error. If it says nothing was posted, run the node again. If it says the outcome is unknown, check the platform first, because the post may already be live and a second run could post it twice.
