# One portrait, five looks

The **Get started with image editing** tutorial changes one AI portrait with pickers instead of written prompts. Each edit is a [Modify Image](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/image/modify-image) node with an empty prompt and a look picker, so the picker's words are the whole instruction. This page shows five of those edits, the exact words each picker added, and two edits made without a picker.

## The original image
The portrait came from one [Generate Image](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/image/generate-image) node with GPT Image 2 at 4K. It shows a woman who does not exist, in a mustard jacket, in an empty white loft. Every edit below reads this same image.

## How each edit is connected
Workflow: One edit: the original goes into the Image input of Modify Image, one look picker goes into its Cinematography input, and the prompt stays empty.

- Generate Image → Modify Image (image)
- Lighting → Modify Image (cinematography)

Each edit uses the same three parts:

1. The original image, connected to the **Image** input of a **Modify Image** node.
2. One look picker, connected to the **Cinematography** input of the same node.
3. An empty **Transformation Prompt**, so the picker's words are the whole prompt.

## Two edits without a picker
A picker is the fastest way to set a look. For one exact change, a written prompt is clearer. The jacket edit below used this prompt on the same **Modify Image** setup:

The [Remove Background](https://nodaro.ai/docs/nodes/image/remove-background) node needs no prompt at all. It cut the woman out of the loft and returned the image with a transparent background.

### Can I change the style of an image without writing a prompt?

Yes. Connect a look picker, such as Lighting, Style or Lens, to the Cinematography input of a Modify Image node and leave the prompt empty. The picker's words become the whole instruction. Every look on this page was made that way.

### Do the edits change the original image?

No. Each edit on this page reads the same original image, so the edits never stack and the quality never drops. To combine two looks, connect both pickers to one Modify Image node.

### How much does one edit cost?

An edit with GPT Image 2 (I2I) at its default 1K size costs 17 credits. The pickers cost nothing: you pay only for the Modify Image run.

### Can I combine two styles in one edit?

Yes. Connect two Style pickers to the same Modify Image node, and both descriptions go into the prompt. On this page, Anime and Oil Painting together made a thick-paint portrait with anime eyes.
